ENTraNCE for judges 2025

Applications have now closed for ENTraNCE for judges 2025, EUI's well established training for national judges in EU competition law, a project co-financed by the Directorate-General for Competition of the European Commission.

Applications needed to be sent through this link to the registration form. Deadline: 30th November 2024.

After the selection, 26 judges will have the opportunity to take part in our training.

Participation in ENTraNCE for Judges 2025 is free of charge. The project will cover travel and accommodation costs for all selected participants.

Agenda:

  • December 2024 - February 2025: e-learning activities.
  • 5-7 March 2025: Three-days residential training at the European University Institute, Florence
  • 24-26 September 2025: Final workshop at the European University Institute, Florence
  • October 2025: online follow-up activities

  • The complementary interplay of IP rights and Competition Law
  • Agreements involving IP rights
  • IP-related dominance abuses

Eligibility

  • Nationality of EU member States.
  • Judges from Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein, as well as from Kosovo, Montenegro and Macedonia are also eligible to apply.

AECLJ Annual Meeting - Thursday 26th to Saturday 28th June 2025

We plan to meet in Santarém as it is the seat of Portugal's Competition, Regulation and Supervision Court. The topic for Friday is ‘object and effect in competition law’. The draft programme is in preparation and work is continuing to arrange hotels and other venues. There will be a circular e-mail in the New Year.
