27-28 September 2018 – Trier

The Academy of European Law-ERA are organising these seminars on Economics for EU Competition Law to provide national judges with a good understanding of basic economic concepts in EU competition law and with the tools to assess economic evidence and to quantify the harm caused by infringement of competition rules. The project is co-funded by the Training of National Judges Programme of the European Union. The contact person is Ms Eirini Volikou and there are more details here.

2018 Annual meeting of nominated competition law judges with DG Comp. (Owing to an OECD meeting and the annual meeting of DGs of NCAs, our dates have moved to earlier in November than we were originally expecting).

 

16-17 November 2018 - Budapest

The Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) through the OECD-GVH Regional Centre for Competition in Budapest (RCC) see here. The topic of the advanced level event will be ’National Judges and Antitrust Challenges in the Digital Age’. As usual the costs of judges are covered on the relevant EU basis, there is an announcement here and the registration deadline is 04 October 2018. 

As the national judicial training centres of Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaria  and Slovenia actively participate in the selection of participants, please contact your national training centre for more information if you would like to register from any of these countries.
